Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is the concentration of your perfumes?
Ashenfume aims to make Extrait (30%-40%) concentrations as we’re addicted to making strong smelling fragrances

  2. How long do your perfumes last on skin?
Perfumes can last for a few hours to all day depending on different factors such as weather, skin absorption, etc. We do not advise spraying on light colored clothing due to possible stains. If you would like a longer-lasting skin scent, apply a thin layer of unscented lotion to act as a barrier from skin absorption.

  3. Do you accept returns or exchanges?
All sales are final due to the handcrafted nature of our work

  4. Can I cancel or modify my order after purchase?
Yes if not yet shipped, contact our team support@ashenfume.com

  5. Do you ship internationally?
We ship anywhere possible through our Country’s Postal System, Fedex, & UPS.

  6. How long will shipping take?
Perfume shipping times can take 2-4 days. Expedited options are available as well. If your order hasn’t shipped yet and you’re curious as to when, always reach out to us for a status.

  7. Do you offer samples or discovery sets?
Samples are available on each Perfume. Discovery sets is an option worth looking at in the future. The groundwork hasn’t been laid out for it yet.

  8. Are your perfumes natural or synthetic?
Our perfumes are crafted with Natural Ingredients. We do add synthetic enhancement such as Aldehydes in very minute amounts. If you have any allergy concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us and ask.

  9. Where are your perfumes made?
Handmade in our Alchemical Hall :)

  10. Do you test on animals?
Never, Only animal I test on is myself!

  11. How should I store my perfume?
Perfumes contain antioxidants such as Vitamin E and Rosemary in some cases. Light and Temperature are the biggest factors in Oil degradation. Volatile notes such as Pines and Citruses are the fastest to oxidize no matter what, so the strength may decrease after 1-2 years to a certain extent. That is just how nature intended it.

    • Light: Keep your perfumes away from Direct Sunlight.

    • Temperature: Keep the perfume as cool as possible, Refrigeration isn’t necessary, but it does slow down the oxidation of volatile notes.

  12. Why does my perfume smell different over time?
Sometimes maturation does play a role in the smell process. Volatile top notes do mellow out due to age, so more of the Heart & Base notes are detectable.
